Funeral arranged seamlessly from 50 miles away. Emma was compassionate and organised, and communication was great. On... the day, Peter and his team were all extremely respectful and provided exactly what was needed - not too much, nor too little. No hiccups, no hassle and it helped to make our sad day a little less painful. Thank you all!read more

My Aunt died when I was on a plane to Japan. I had heard about JB Shakespeare from neighbours and I called them. They... took complete control of everything whilst I was in Japan and resolved what seemed to be an impossible situation. I cannot recommend them high enough. They were on top of the situation constantly and made a very sad and stressing time bearable. Please use them.read more

Absolutely appalled at the service we received from JB Shakespeare. On arriving to deal with the remains of my Grandma,... one of Shakespeares' employees remarked, "Is this the deceased?", as if it could be anyone else. When we left her care home as a family, Shakespeares' didn't even give us time to get clear of the building before bringing our Grandma out in a black body bag. Shakespeare also rushed us at the funeral service and the cemetery because they said they had "other funerals to get to", which is their fault for booking them so close together. They showed no empathy to the grieving family and were extremely unprofessional. This once respectable funeral directors is now a money-making machine with no regard for the families or the deceased.read more
